Devin Haney Has A Graphic Response To Loma’s Team Calling His Win A Robbery

Devin Haney has slammed Vasiliy Lomachenko’s manager, Egis Klimas, after the latter claimed that his win over the Ukrainian was a robbery.

The duo faced each other on May 20th, 2023, in which Haney was declared the winner via a unanimous decision. However, the verdict failed to satisfy large parts of the boxing community, who felt that Loma should have been given the win.

And the result, this prevented the Ukrainian from becoming the undisputed lightweight champion of the world. In the aftermath, Loma’s team had discussed the possibility of appealing the decision.

Klimas On Haney

“I’m gonna say it just like it is. This is the biggest robbery in the middle of the day. For the other team, Christmas came in the summer. And we’re not gonna let it go, I guarantee we’re gonna protest, I guarantee we’re gonna appeal that decision,” Klimas

Not only that, but the talks over a rematch continued to rumble on. Although that may have been the case, a rematch seems unlikely as Loma will not fight again this year. And in response, Haney and Klimas has had a few choice words over Klimas.

Haney And Klimas

“Do your homework, Loma went the hospital after the fight. But they don’t want you to know that,” Haney

“Devin, WOW you got correct information, we did go to hospital and we were looking for you just to make sure you are okay as you’d been punched so many times into your head. But we’ve been told ambulances took you to different hospital. We were worried about you. How about rematch? Scary?” Klimas

“I was at home having a threesome,” Haney

Nevertheless, the chances of a rematch are unlikely. Haney has moved up to 140 in the hope of fighting Regis Prograis for his WBC belt.

And that weight class is simply too much for Loma, who is already considered small for 135. Although Haney could drop down to 135 again, there are bigger fights such as facing Gervonta Davis and Shakur Stevenson which would be more appealing.
