David Morrell Jr. Vs. Sena Agbeko Final Press Conference

David Morrell Jr. and Sena Agbeko held their presser for their super middleweight clash on December 16th, 2023.

Morrell is the avoided man in the 168-pound division after calling out Canelo Alvarez and David Benavidez early in his career. Both Mexicans have distanced themselves from the fight since Morrell poses a high-risk, low reward as he does not have belts. But his record speaks for itself. He is 9-0, having knocked out eight opponents. The last victory was all the more impressive as he stopped the former Olympian Yamaguchi Falcao in one round.

Agbeko will provide Morrell with a tough test. They were on course to face each other before the Cuban’s fight with Falcao. But the latter’s problems with getting his boxing license prevented the fight. The Ghanian is also a knockout artist. He has a record of 28-2. 22 of those wins are by way of stoppage. He was recently active after securing a second-round KO over Bruno Romayin in November.

In the co-main event, Chris Colbert and Jose Valenzuela have a rematch at lightweight. Colbert won the first fight via a unanimous decision. His only defeat was against Hector Garcia, the former WBA super featherweight champion. Valenzuela has lost his last two fights against Edwin De Los Santos and Colbert. Andre Berto and Robert Guerrero also rematch each other following their 2012 clash. Guerrero won on that occasion via a unanimous decision. Guerrero retired after a victory over Victor Ortiz and Berto retired after winning against Devon Alexander. Let’s take a look at the critical moments from the presser.
