Chisora Prepared For His Last UK Fight; Ready To Bring The 'WAR' To Wallin

Derek Chisora and Otto Wallin held their last pre-fight presser before their heavyweight fight on Saturday.

Chisora enters the fight with a victory against Joe Joyce. His unanimous decision win was arguably one of the best of his career. That extended his record to 35-13-0. In his post-fight comments, Chisora said he would retire after his 50th fight. The Wallin fight will be his 49th as he looks to put on an impressive performance in front of a domestic crowd.

Wallin has plenty to prove following his recent form. He is currently 27-2. The two losses were against Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. He bounced back from the Joshua defeat by beating Onoriode Ehwarieme in his last fight. Wallin will be looking to avoid a third loss against another Brit. But in doing so, he will likely face a hostile crowd who will be siding with Chisora. Here is what the fighters had to say in the presser.

Predictions

“I don’t think it’s a bad fight. I think it’s a very tough fight for Derek, because I know when I worked with Derek, he said he’d kill me if I put him in for southpaw. And I did it once against Artur Szpilka and he battered him. So, you know, Wallin has got a win recently, I think, but he’s coming off a win, but obviously he got broken down by AJ. Tough night for Derek, but hopefully he can do the business,” Eddie Hearn

“Yeah, it’s a tricky one. It is, I may be ever so slightly lean towards Del, just because I think he’s going to give absolutely everything. And he’s so dangerous with those looping lefts and rights. But Wallin, I guess, compared to some other heavyweights out there, is probably not going to cause too much damage. He’s more of a boxer as opposed to a fighter, so he’s not got to worry about huge bombs raining in relentlessly throughout the fight. So it could be a smart bit of matchmaking,” Darren Barker
