Alexa Grasso Vs. Valentina Shevchenko Predictions
Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko face off in their trilogy this Saturday as MMA pros give their picks.
They faced off at UFC 306 for the first-ever women’s UFC trilogy. The fight is also historic as it is the first-ever combat sports fight at The Sphere. Grasso is the UFC Flyweight Champion who won the first fight via a submission at UFC 285. The rematch took place last year, which ended in a split draw. Valentina looked to have done enough to win, but Mike Bell’s 10-8 scorecard for Grasso in the last round meant she retained her title. Both fighters picked up injuries and then competed as rival coaches on the TUF 32 series. The trilogy will now cap off this rivalry as fellow MMA fighters picked their winner.
Predictions
“Well, I think Grasso is gonna win again. You know, it’s just as you know UFC Noche, the Mexicans are coming hot. It’s not gonna be an easy fight for both of them,” Tabatha Ricci
“I mean, I want to see some new blood, man. I want to see Alex Grasso win,” Geoff Neal
“Off of what I remember of their fights, I don’t see a reason that Grasso would lose unless Shevchenko really changes something up. I’ll have to go with Grasso again,” Gerald Meersschaert
“I haven’t paid much attention to that fight, but I’d like to see Alexa Grasso win. I’m thinking Grasso,” Tim Welch
“I’m thinking Grasso. I fought on the card in their last fight, when they had the draw, and I remember watching it, and it was, it’s hard, because there were so many Mexicans Vegas and stuff, and they were all cheering so loud for Grasso.
“But yeah, I’m pretty sure I kind of sided with Grasso, at least live in the moment. I think Grasso is, you know, a little bit younger too, kind of coming up into it. She’s, you know, training with, you know, loopy and stuff like that. Like, she’s got some great training partners, you know, Diego training with them. So I think they’ve got a good team. See, I put, put my money on, on Grasso,” Kyle Nelson
Further Predictions
“I think Alexa lost the last fight, I do believe that. But I think she’s gonna have a lot of momentum going on, especially with Mexican, Mexican Independence Day and then the arena and all that stuff. So I think I’m gonna go with Alexa on this one,” Youssef Zalal
:I think that Alexa Grasso takes the W on this one. I think Valentina Shevchenko is now chasing something that she already had, and like, she’s like, steps behind, right where Alexa Grasso has been, like, kind of growing with all of this, like, heat and momentum and, yeah, I feel like, I feel like, just the energy, like they’re both just so evenly, creepily matched.
Obviously, their last fight came out in a draw, right where Alexa Grasso was like, I won. You didn’t win. It was just a draw, and you didn’t lose your belt, right? So there’s that and I feel like Valentina really does want her belt back, but I feel like Alexa is just like a few inches ahead, with the Spirit, with the confidence on this one,” Vanessa Demopoulos
