Will Francis Ngannou Fight Wilder Or Fury?

Francis Ngannou has opened up on his boxing ambitions by naming Tyson Fury or Deontay Wilder as his dream opponent.

Ngannou’s boxing ambitions have been well-documented since his departure from the UFC following his victory over Ciryl Gane.

Thereafter, the ex-UFC heavyweight champion was linked with both a boxing venture, as well as Bellator. His future became clear when he inked a lucrative deal with the PFL to make his debut in 2024.

In his agreement, Ngannou became a board member for PFL Africa. Not only that, but the agreement included an option for a boxing bout in 2023.

Thereafter, both Wilder and Fury have made it clear that they want to take on Ngannou.

Fury infamously claimed that he would stop Ngannou after drinking ’15 pints.’

Fury: “I’ll have 15 pints [beer emojis] and still KO you, big stiff tramp!”

Ngannou: “Stop talking, Tyson, and come try. I’m already doing you a favour using your gloves and your rules because [of] your limited skill set.”

In contrast, Wilder has been more complimentary of his opponent, claiming that he would be open to fighting him both in the ring and the Octagon.

“I would love it. I would love it very much so, just to show the competitive side. If he crosses over and comes where I am, I can come over and cross over to where he is. Both are both worlds.

“I think it would be more interesting, not only to us but for the fans as well just to see it. Because that hasn’t happened yet, we’ve seen a lot of MMA guys come over and you’ve seen a couple of boxers come over but you’ve never seen the back and forth. I think it would be very interesting,” Wilder
