Wilder Will Knock Ruiz Out ‘Cold’ – Says Malik Scott

Deontay Wilder’s trainer, Malik Scott, has warned Andy Ruiz Jr. that his man will stop him in a devastating fashion.

Wilder is arguably the biggest puncher of all time in the heavyweight division, with 43 KOs in 46 fights.

While he failed to knock out Tyson Fury, their trilogy still showed that the ‘Bronze Bomber’ was capable of putting Fury on the canvas.

As of now, the talks over a fight have stalled somewhat. Wilder’s team have reportedly offered a 70-30 split to Ruiz, which has not gone down well.

Ruiz’s father has hit back by demanding that there be a 50-50 split in order to recognize the fact that both fighters are no longer champions.

And yet, Wilder did have ten title defences, unlike Ruiz, who lost his belts to Anthony Joshua immediately. That would put Wilder as the A-side in any such conversations.

And if that deadlock were to be broken, then Scott sees no other outcome than a Wilder stoppage.

“I don’t even want to say what round that I think because it comes across as very brash, but I will say something will happen to Andy Ruiz that has never happened before. He will be knocked out cold.

“He has been hit by lighter punchers [Chris Arreol] that don’t hit as hard as Deontay, and he has been down, has been hurt, has been wobbled. Does that make him a bad fighter? Absolutely not.

“I’m just talking about him going up against the hardest puncher in the history of the sport. My prediction is that something will happen to Andy Ruiz that has never been done to him before, and that is, he’ll get knocked out cold,” Malik

Given the performance of Wilder’s last fight, things are looking ominous. The ‘Bronze Bomber’ stopped Robert Helenius in the first round, showing that he still had that power, despite his defeats to Tyson Fury.

And yet, Ruiz has shown that he can upset the apple cart after having beaten Anthony Joshua on the biggest stage. That is why the fight offers a tantalizing match-up.

Time will tell if it does end up happening moving forward. You can stay up-to-date with the latest happenings in the world of boxing by visiting boxingblitz right here.
