Vince McMahon Is Under Federal Investigation For Sex Trafficking - Authorities Seize His Phone

The federal authorities are investigating Vince McMahon in response to sex trafficking allegations, as they have seized his phone.

According to reports, Janel Grant alleged in her lawsuit that McMahon had trafficked her to other people. Grant is a previous WWE employee, stating that she was offered a job in return for giving sex. The lawsuit claims there was sexual assault against her.

Vince has hit back at the claims, maintaining his innocence, as he will counter the allegations coming his way. Since then, he has stepped down as Executive Chairman of TKO Group Holdings Inc. He has also left the board of directors.

“Out of respect for the WWE Universe, the extraordinary TKO business and its board members and shareholders, partners and constituents, and all of the employees and Superstars who helped make WWE into the global leader it is today, I have decided to resign from my executive chairmanship and the TKO board of directors, effective immediately,” McMahon said

“Today’s complaint seeks to hold accountable two WWE executives who sexually assaulted and trafficked Plaintiff Janel Grant, as well as the organization that facilitated or turned a blind eye to the abuse and then swept it under the rug.

“She is an incredibly private and courageous person who has suffered deeply at the hands of Mr. McMahon and Mr. Laurinaitis. Ms. Grant hopes that her lawsuit will prevent other women from being victimized. The organization is well aware of Mr. McMahon’s history of depraved behavior, and it’s time that they take responsibility for the misconduct of its leadership,” Ann Callis (Grant’s attorney) revealed

Vince Under Investigation

Now, things have become troublesome for Vince. A senior executive at WWE and a close friend of Vince has stated that the authorities have seized his phone. An investigation is now underway to determine if there is evidence that he had breached federal laws.

When we look at his previous incidents, things are not in McMahon’s favor. He was accused of sexual misconduct in 1992. That is when the WWE’s first-ever female professional wrestling referee, Rita Chatterton, claimed that McMahon had raped her. McMahon would end up settling that dispute out of court last year, but it did show his reputation had been damaged.

McMahon also departed from his role as CEO of the WWE in 2022. An investigation revealed he had given approximately $15 million across 16 years to four different women to keep any sexual misconduct claims hidden from the public eye. But Vince continues to defend himself in light of the current allegations.

“McMahon disputed the allegations, saying in a statement last week: “I stand by my prior statement that Ms. Grant’s lawsuit is replete with lies, obscene made-up instances that never occurred, and is a vindictive distortion of the truth,” McMahon revealed

McMahon has a fight on his hands to prove his innocence. Based on the accusations so far, things are not looking good.
