Valentina Shevchenko Vs. Manon Fiorot Predictions – ‘They’re Both So Good’
Valentina Shevchenko puts her UFC Flyweight Title on the line against Manon Fiorot at UFC 315, as MMA insiders gave their predictions.
Valentina won the title after avenging her loss to Alexa Grasso at UFC 306. This was the third fight between the pair after Valentina lost the first one at UFC 285. The second bout ended in controversial circumstances at UFC Noche after Mike Bell’s controversial 10-8 scorecard for Alexa in the final round meant it was a split draw.
Valentina made no mistake in the third fight but now faces a new test. Manon has an undefeated 7-0 record. She is capable of lasting the distance, having taken it to the scorecards in her last five bouts. She has a win over Erin Blanchfield in her last bout, as she seeks the biggest scalp on her resume. “I definitely think it’s going to be a very close fight. My only worry for Manon is if Valentina tries to play it, like she did in the last fight with Alexa and just kind of play it safe and wrestle, and there I think that kind of poses more threats for Manon,” Gillian Robertson
“That’s a tough fight. I could see it kind of going either way, but Valentina’s been on top for a long time. And I could see new blood being able to get in there and I think Fiorot would be able to take it. I mean you never know, if I got to choose that’s what I go with,” Jasmine Jasudavicius
“I haven’t seen much of Fiorot, but you know Valentina’s resume speaks for itself. I think she’s had harder fights because of where she’s at in her career.
