The UFC is reportedly prepared to spend $60 million to stage the UFC White House card on June 14, as we look at some of their plans.

The production cost for UFC 306 at the Las Vegas Sphere was roughly $21 million, meaning the White House card would shatter that record. For the White House card, the UFC is footing the entire bill, with no taxpayer funding. Naturally, there has been extensive planning to pull off the UFC’s biggest event.

White’s UFC Role

It has been 25 years since Dana White took over the UFC. On February 23, 2001, White helped launch the UFC which is now a $12 billion company that was purchased for $2 million. UFC 30 was the first event under the Zuffa banner. The main event saw Tito Ortiz cement his status as the sport’s first true star.

Ortiz defended his light heavyweight title with a knockout of Evan Tanner. It was during this broadcast that White outlined his goal to bring the best fighters to the world’s biggest stage. That is what White will hope to do on the UFC White House card. The CEO of the UFC revealed that it will be challenging to pull off the event, but reassured fans that it will happen.

“I was with him [Trump] yesterday (Friday). He didn’t even ask (about) the card. We just went through all the logistics. There’s going to be tons of problems pulling it off. But we will do it,” White stated
