Tyson Fury Drops Trainer With A Brutal Muay Thai Kick
Tyson Fury dropped a trainer with a Muay Thai kick, resulting in a strong reaction from fans.
Fury appears in better spirits after coming off the first loss of his career. The Gypsy King lost a split decision to Oleksandr Usyk, who became the first Undisputed Heavyweight Champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999. Fury will have the chance to gain his revenge when he takes on Usyk in the rematch on December 21. However, it will not be for undisputed after the Ukrainian vacated his IBF Belt.
Despite it being the biggest fight of Fury’s career, the Gypsy King looked relaxed. The following video shows Fury watching a Muay Thai session. Fury then decides to get in on the act. He unloads with a big kick. The instructor drops to the floor, with fans speculating whether it was real.
Fury’s Kick
This is not the first time that Fury has teased fans with his MMA antics. The Gypsy King has claimed in the past that he would beat Francis Ngannou in the cage. They eventually faced off in the boxing ring, with Fury winning a split decision. Ngannou was more than a match for Fury in the ring, dropping him in the third round.
While Fury got the decision, some were of the view that Ngannou had been robbed. That would make it extremely difficult for Fury to have a chance in the cage if he barely scraped through in the boxing ring when Ngannou was making his debut. Ngannou shut down any chances of Fury beating him in MMA. He told the Gypsy King during the build up for his Anthony Joshua fight.
Fury’s MMA Comments
“You’re going to sleep in the [ring] again and I’m going to wipe the ring with your…again. You wiped the ring with your [backside] that was the blood in the ring sticking to your pants. Your only chance is with boxing rules. Respect that fact that the rules of boxing are protecting us. Without that, you are nothing in front of me. I’ll beat you every day, twice on Sunday,” Fury said
Fury made similar comments about wanting to fight Jon Jones in MMA. He called out the current UFC Heavyweight Champion, who responded in kind. He was willing to take the fight, putting the pressure on Fury to make it happen. But once there was a genuine desire to make it happen, Fury backtracked on his comments. He clarified his comments by saying he is not an MMA fighter, telling Jones to meet him in the boxing ring instead.
“I see Jon Jones has piped up. Jon, you talk about me in a cage. I’m not a cagefighter, mate. I’m a boxer – the best boxer actually. So if you want to come into a boxing ring to fight me, be my guest, let me know. You don’t have to call anybody else – no Dana, nobody. You call me. Because it’s a boxing fight, and I’m the boss in this game. You’re a great fighter, Jon, but you’re definitely no boxer, that’s for sure,” Fury stated
