US President Donald Trump has revealed new details into the planning for the UFC White House event, slated for June 2026.
Speaking at the Kennedy Center Honors award show, the President provided a glimpse into the scale of the card, boldly claiming it will feature 8-9 title fights. The event, which will be staged on the South Lawn of the White House on June 14, 2026, is intended to help commemorate the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Declaration of Independence. To mark this occasion, President Trump stated that Dana White is making big moves.
“The UFC on June 14th, it’s gonna be June 14th next year. And they’re building an arena. The great Dana White’s building an arena. And they’re gonna have eight or nine championship fights, the biggest fights they’ve ever had. Every one’s a championship fight. And every one’s a legendary type of fight. He’s actually holding back fights right now for six months so he can do it for this June 15th.
“I think the arena’s gonna be five or six thousand seats right in front of the front door of the White House, and a hundred thousand people in the back where they’re putting up eight or ten big screens. That’s gonna be exciting. So many people are asking for tickets,” Trump stated
Champions like Heavyweight’s Tom Aspinall, Light Heavyweight’s Alex Pereira, and Women’s Bantamweight’s Kayla Harrison have all been linked with fighting on the card. Even non-champions like Conor McGregor and Jon Jones have indicated their desire to fight on the card. With only 12 titles across all weight classes (including the BMF belt), dedicating eight or nine belts to a single event could have implications for the rest of the UFC schedule. Joe Rogan, a close friend of White, indicated his wishes for the card.
“I would love to see him (Alex Pereira) fight Jon Jones at the White House. Jon Jones vs. Pereira, for sure. Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler, that would be awesome. We want to have some fun — that’s a fun fight. And then you would probably want Islam Makhachev vs. Ilia Topuria, that would be insane,” Rogan stated
