Tom Aspinall Humiliates Paddy Pimblett, Suggests He Stinks – ‘Tom Is Brutal’
Tom Aspinall humiliated Paddy Pimblett during the UFC 304 media day.
The UFC Interim Heavyweight Champion stars on the co-main event of the Leon Edwards vs. Belal Muhammad card on July 27. He faces off against Curtis Blaydes in a rematch of their 2022 clash. Aspinall lost that fight after he was stopped in the first round. However, after being sent to the canvas, he injured his knee, which prevented him from continuing.
Aspinall knows a win takes him closer to a title shot against Jon Jones. Aspinall has said this is the toughest fight of his career. But when it came to the media day, he had other things on his mind. Before taking his place, Pimblett had spoken to the media. When it was Tom’s turn, he had an issue with the smell. He asked the reporters who had sat there before, to which the answer was Pimblett, leaving everyone in stitches.
Aspinall On Pimblett
Once the amusement was over, Aspinall’s prior comments suggested that Blaydes would be a tough bout.
“Curtis is really good, he is the hardest stylistic matchup in the division for me, and I won’t shy away from that. Defending a world title in Manchester, that is what dreams are made of, mate. I got into this sport to have nights like this. UFC 304, I’m coming in there to finish the fight from the first bell, I want to make a statement by absolutely running through him,” Aspinall said
Unlike Aspinall, Pimblett has been going through a tougher time. He has received backlash for his comments where he suggests that he almost pulled out of the UFC 304 card against Bobby Green due to his coach. Paddy admitted that his mindset was in the right place, describing his preparation as the worst training camp. While he will still fight on the card, there are suggestions that his focus is elsewhere.
Pimblett’s Struggles
He is in the last fight of his UFC contract and has expressed an interest in crossing over to boxing. He is open to the idea of boxing Jake Paul or a YouTube boxer. Those bouts will earn him a massive payday, but there are suggestions that he is overlooking his opponent. That has earned him negative backlash from fans, with some suggesting that he is laying the foundations for any excuses in case he comes up short against Green. Green is in impressive form, with three wins in his last four fights. Pimblett hit back at his critics.
“Seeing Sky Sports put that interview up, external and seeing some of the responses are disgusting. People saying I’m doing it for a PR stunt. Why would I invite pressure on myself like that? People saying I’m only doing it for that reason when I know several people who have killed themselves. I’ve thought about it in the past. Again, I do it because I feel like I need to and I don’t want more people to kill themselves, especially men. Other people have been quoting saying ‘no wonder men don’t talk [about mental health] when the responses are like this,” Pimblett said
