Tim Bradley: Jake Paul Is 'Conning' Fans - 'He Is A Bum'

Tim Bradley says Jake Paul is ‘conning’ fans following his victory over Mike Tyson

Paul defeated Tyson in a lacklustre performance and came out victorious in a unanimous decision. Tyson looked far from the man who was the former Undisputed Heavyweight Champion, as the 58-year-old was slower and could not close the gap when he had the chance. Tyson also revealed that he had a compression sleeve on his knee to deal with an injury. This did not go down very well with the boxing fan base since Tyson had already withdrawn from the original July 20 date due to an inflamed ulcer.
There were worries about the fight going ahead, given the three-decade age gap between them.

Paul Vs. Tyson

While Tyson got out of the ring in one piece, boxing fans were not happy. They were not sold the fight they were promised after Paul suggested he would knock out Tyson. It was also not received well because Paul admitted that he had gone a bit easy on Mike. While it is unclear if those were actually his intentions, Paul appeared reluctant to engage with Mike, perhaps in fear that he could get knocked out.

The fight earned Paul a reported $40 million, while Tyson picked up $20 million in a glorified sparring match with a few shots added in between. During his post-fight interview, Tyson even suggested that he wanted to fight Jake’s brother, Logan Paul. But given how negatively this fight has been received, it has now called Paul’s boxing resume into question.

He has never beaten a legitimate boxer. He only faced off against Tommy Fury as he lost a split decision. But most of the boxing community do not see Fury winning a British title. This has been shown by Fury’s level of opposition since the Paul victory. He faced KSI, and now he will fight Darren Till next year on January 18.

Bradley Reacts

Those two opponents are not professional boxers, showing that Fury is not even a big name.
Paul has also beaten MMA fighters such as Nate Diaz, Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley. Meanwhile, Tyson has not boxed professionally since 2005, when he lost to Kevin McBride. Bradley felt that Paul was simply choosing big names but putting the odds against them so they could not beat him to generate big purses and take fans for a ride.

“Jake Paul is a bum. I tried to tell you guys. Straight up con artist. He’s a magician. He’s going straight to the bank. Mike Tyson’s the one who sold this fight. I told y’all, 58 years old, all that wear and tear on his body. He’s a senior citizen basically. He didn’t do anything to Jake Paul. Probably landed one or two punches all night, if any. It’s terrible, man,” Bradley said
