TikToker Accuses Alex Pereira Of Rape
TikToker Meredith Brown has accused the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Alex Pereira of rape during the weekend of UFC 302.
Brown alleges the incident took place at a New Jersey hotel. She alleges that the assault occurred when she was invited alongside her friend to spend some time with the UFC fighter and his assistant. Pereira was seen at UFC 302 when Islam Makhachev defeated Dustin Poirier to win via a fifth-round submission and retain his UFC Lightweight Title.
Alex is also coming off an impressive win, knocking out Jiří Procházka at UFC 303 in their rematch to successfully defend his UFC Light Heavyweight Title. But now the Brazilian faces a fight to clear his name and address these serious accusations. As of now, Pereria’s team have to respond to Brown’s following comments.
Brown’s Accusations
“Took me a while to find the courage to come out and say this, but I’ve been struggling so much with my mental health and I can barely get out of bed these days. Its eating me alive keeping it inside and not talking about it because I’m scared but im hoping this will help me heal and not feel so alone.
“I know some people wont believe me and think im “chasing clout” and stuff like that but I just wanna feel normal again and im hoping maybe me finding the courage to tell my story is the first step in that direction… If any other women have ever experienced this im so sorry, you’re not alone and I hope that this helps you find your voice again too,” Brown said
Paul Vs. Pereira
Elsewhere, Jake has addressed the potential to face Pereira in a boxing fight. The Problem Child called out the UFC fighter after stopping Mike Perry to take his record to 10-0-1. Paul then FaceTimed Pereira, saying he wanted to fight him next. Before that can happen, he must get past Mike Tyson first. Paul was meant to fight Tyson instead of Perry. But Tyson pulled out with an inflammed ulcer. That fight has now been rescheduled for November 20. Provided Paul gets past that, Pereira is on his mind, given the potential for a massive fight.
“This is what I’m saying, I called him out and everyone’s like ‘Jake is crazy’ haha. I’m like, yo, what do you people want? You don’t think it will happen? [Full Send Podcast], you’re friends with Dana, tell Dana bro. But why [can’t it happen]?
“If we’re going to sell two million pay-per-views, this is a business at the end of the day. I think they [care about that]. The pay-per-view numbers in this industry are going down, there’s too much illegal streaming. If Pereira is selling 500k pay-per-view buys, this has the chance to do two to three million, that’s basically six fights… I’m down,” Paul stated
