The Battle for Glory: Mike Ohan Jr. vs. Harry Gigliotti Takes Center Stage in Quincy on Aug 11!
The boxing world was pretty slow for the people of Quincy, but it seems like Granite Chin Promotions took notice and took some actions. That’s because boxing is coming back to Quincy, and they have chosen the Veterans Memorial Stadium because it’s the homefront, and we all know how great that benefit is.
As far as the fight is concerned, Mike Ohan and Harry Gigliotti will be against each other, and we are sure the boxing fans will be biting their nails during this match (it’s going to be intense, we promise!).
Getting Into the Details
Quincy has managed to host multiple outdoor events in the past few years, but this will be their first time hosting an event in the City of Presidents. This event will put the spotlight on professional fighters. According to the president of GCP, it’s going to be an incredible fight, and we are sure that the fans will get to see the best fighters in the octagon.
He also went on to say that this fight will help them raise money for Operation Homefront, which revolves around helping out the veterans who served the country as well as their families. The primary event will be a non-title welterweight fight, which has the potential to create opportunities for the winners.
It wouldn’t be wrong to say that this is going to be a huge show at a local, and it will put both these fighters on the radar, especially the one who manages to win. That’s because the fight is highly anticipated because both Gigliotti and Mike Ohan Jr. are considered a rising talent.
When Gigliotti was asked about what he thought about the fight, he seemed extremely optimistic while accepting the fact that Mike Ohan Jr. would try his best to beat him. As far as the losses are concerned, he lost the match to Delante Johnson, Antonio Williams, Aaron Aponte, and Kris Jacobs. So, after these losses, we are sure Harry will be ready to hit back!
The Game
This is basically a co-featured event, and there will be two belts on the line in the second match. This is an eight-point unification fight in the middleweight division, and Julien Baptiste and Jamer Jones will be playing the game. In addition, there are chances that Francis Hogan will be in action.
For those who don’t know, Hogan was known for his great work in the USA Boxing Olympics Team of 2020. Also, he won the New England Golden Gloves Championship. As far as the undercard is concerned, it might take a few days for them to reveal it.
