The boxing world was pretty slow for the people of Quincy, but it seems like Granite Chin Promotions took notice and took some actions. That’s because boxing is coming back to Quincy, and they have chosen the Veterans Memorial Stadium because it’s the homefront, and we all know how great that benefit is.

As far as the fight is concerned, Mike Ohan and Harry Gigliotti will be against each other, and we are sure the boxing fans will be biting their nails during this match (it’s going to be intense, we promise!).

Getting Into the Details

Quincy has managed to host multiple outdoor events in the past few years, but this will be their first time hosting an event in the City of Presidents. This event will put the spotlight on professional fighters. According to the president of GCP, it’s going to be an incredible fight, and we are sure that the fans will get to see the best fighters in the octagon.

He also went on to say that this fight will help them raise money for Operation Homefront, which revolves around helping out the veterans who served the country as well as their families. In fact, that’s probably the reason they chose this spot for the fight (they renovated it too in the recent past, so it makes sense). He thanked the New England Free Jacks for their help and support in making this dream a reality.

During this fight, Mike Ohan will be responsible for taking over Harry, who currently reigns the ABF super lightweight title. It will be a rivalry fight, and it will be an eight-round game. The primary event will be a non-title welterweight fight, which has the potential to create opportunities for the winners.

It wouldn’t be wrong to say that this is going to be a huge show at a local, and it will put both these fighters on the radar, especially the one who manages to win. That’s because the fight is highly anticipated because both Gigliotti and Mike Ohan Jr. are considered a rising talent.

When Gigliotti was asked about what he thought about the fight, he seemed extremely optimistic while accepting the fact that Mike Ohan Jr. would try his best to beat him. He went on to say that he has the skills to put him to the ground, and he is training to ensure that his fans get the best fight, the fight that they have been dreaming about. Also, he mentioned that beyond the decision-centric win, everything will be a bonus (we guess, he wants the winning title only, and we don’t blame him!).

The Players

When the players were asked for their reaction, Ohan said that he was excited to be a part of this huge fight. He also mentioned that he would be out there and show his true skills to everyone because he wants to come off as a top-notch fighter.

On the other hand, Quincy mentioned that he was thrilled, and he also mentioned that Mile would come at him with all his might. However, he will also bring in his best game. He mentioned that he believes in his skills and has the confidence that he will outlast him and get a decision-centric win. In fact, he went on to say that he will put up a great fight for his fans, and whatever he wins besides the decision, it will be a bonus.

Boxing Performance of Mike Ohan

When it comes down to knowing about the players, it’s important to know what kind of boxer/player they are. His nickname is Bad Man, and he has a boxing record of 18-2-0, which means he has won 18 matches in his brief career, and he proudly wears two lost fights because he learned a lot. He lost the match to Carlos Hernandez and Delante Johnson, but still, no one can deny his boxing prowess.

1. Boxing Performance of Harry Gigliotti

Commonly known as The Hitman, Harry is one of the best boxers to exist, with nine wins and four losses on his collar. He plays in the super lightweight division and has played 59 rounds. As far as the losses are concerned, he lost the match to Delante Johnson, Antonio Williams, Aaron Aponte, and Kris Jacobs. So, after these losses, we are sure Harry will be ready to hit back!

The Game

This is basically a co-featured event, and there will be two belts on the line in the second match. This is an eight-point unification fight in the middleweight division, and Julien Baptiste and Jamer Jones will be playing the game. In addition, there are chances that Francis Hogan will be in action.

For those who don’t know, Hogan was known for his great work in the USA Boxing Olympics Team of 2020. Also, he won the New England Golden Gloves Championship. As far as the undercard is concerned, it might take a few days for them to reveal it.

Tickets

It’s evident that this match is different from all other boxing matches because of the cause and the new talent that everyone will get to see. For this reason, everyone’s looking for places from where they can get the tickets, and EventBrite will have you covered. They started selling the tickets on 17th June 2023, so make sure you go over to their website and book yourself some nice seats.

At this point, it’s pretty clear that both these fighters are training hard to beat each other, and it will be worth the wait. However, the boxing fight isn’t the only thing you should look forward to because this fight will also raise money for Operation Homefront, which revolves around helping veterans as well as their dependents. So, if possible, always purchase the tickets at full price, so you can contribute. Other than that, we will see you at the Veterans Memorial Stadium!
