Teofimo Lopez Vs. Jamaine Ortiz: Where To Watch Info

Teofimo Lopez and Jamaine Ortiz will square off on February 8 for the chance to win the WBO Junior Welterweight Title.
The Takeover has his first defense of the belt after coming through Josh Taylor with a unanimous decision win. Heading into the fight, Lopez spoke on how he feels much stronger and faster, having not left training since his victory over Taylor.
He has promised to knock out Ortiz, saying the fight won’t go the distance. A victory places Lopez in contention for a big unification fight against the other champions in the division, such as Rolando Romero, Devin Haney and Subriel Matias.
Ortiz hopes to spoil the party, with his first fight at 140 pounds. His biggest fight was against his former sparring partner, Vasiliy Lomachenko. Despite losing a unanimous decision, he was praised for his performance in the first half of the fight. Ortiz is working with Bill Haney, who is well aware of Lopez, given his son Devin Haney’s desire to face him eventually. Here is everything you need to know about where to watch the fight.

Pre-Fight Comments
“‘The Technician,’ they say. And this guy, he faced Vasiliy Lomachenko, a former opponent that I faced and champion. So, Jamaine Ortiz, we go back like nine years. We faced each other in the 2015 National Golden Glove finale and it was a great scrap up. Everyone knows the National Golden Golves is a very tough competition to win, let alone even get there and compete. So I know I’m facing somebody that definitely got the skill set to give me a run for my money,” Lopez said
“I can do a lot of things in the ring that people haven’t seen yet. On February 8, people are going to see what I can do in there. When the opposition is better, I fight better, and I believe Teofimo Lopez is going to bring the best out of me. I’m going to show my skills and athleticism on fight night.” “I think I’m more athletic and have more speed than Teofimo. I have a better jab and movement. I have a lot of advantages that will show when we fight,” Ortiz stated
