How ONE Championship determines who fights next for the title seems sketchy at times. Superbon laid out Jo Nattawut in 57 seconds during a Muay Thai bantamweight title fight at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium. But even with the impressive victory, online boxing news says the performance means that Superbon should have a chance to fight Tawanchai PK Saenchai “at some point in the future.”

No matter when Superbon gets his title shot, he will have left a strong impression in many fight fans’’ minds with this victory. Superbon didn’t take long to employ powerful strikes to earn a $50,000 performance bonus. Early in the fight, both men looked to establish their range.

Many of the Friday Night Fights cards typically feature a lot of journeymen. It was nice to see that Superbon got a fight against a legitimate contender to headline the card.

Nabati Continues Perfect Presentation

Staying perfect in Muay Thai takes an impressive amount of training and experience. Most Muay Thai fighters turn professional at a young age and fight so frequently it is hard to maintain an undefeated record. Eventually, you have to have an off night.

But Kiamran Nabati has yet to experience that disappointment. Anyone following MMAfighting latest knows that Nabati extended his perfect professional record by beating former bantamweight champion Nong-O Hama. Nabati now has an idea of what fights against top fighters in the organization will look like.

Nabati had to use all of his tools to grind out a decision win. With a 22-0 record, including a 4-0 record in ONE, Nabati will be asked to take on more difficult opponents if he is able to keep winning fights.

Anane Leads the Dance

Nabil Anane used all of his assets to collect a decision win over Soe Lin Oo. Anane has now won five straight fights, thanks in part to the physical gifts that he possesses. Standing at 6-foot-4 gives Anane the advantage of having his opponents have to come to him.

When Soe Lin Oo came into that range, he was battered by Anane’s precise punches. During the first round, Anane mixed in knees and punches. Throughout the fight, Soe Lin Oo had a difficult time attempting to figure out how to handle Anane’s kicks.

Anane ended up picking up a unanimous decision victory, which improved his career record to 38-5.

Kulabdam Picks Up Impressive Stoppage Victory

Kulabdam Sor Joe Piek Uthai was feeling the anxiety every struggling fighter goes through at some point. After several poor performances in a row, would another loss send Kulabdam to the unemployment line? Thankfully for Kulabdam, he likely won’t have to worry about being cut after his performance against Suablack Tor Pran49. Kulabdam had lost back-to-back fights before knocking out Suablack.

Kulabdam kept Suablack off-balance by blasting him with heavy leg kicks. The damage from those strikes was so successful that they gradually wore down Suablack’s gas tank. In the third round, Suablack couldn’t take any more punishment. Kulabdam would end up utilizing his powerful left hand to stop the fight.

Suablack showed plenty of durability. However, he will need to be more sound defensively if he wants to win a fight.

Veteran in Fighting and Life Picks Up Victory

Muay Thai is different from many other professional sports. You will see a number of fighters that are still teenagers with plenty of experience under their belt against tough competition. Younger fighters need to make money to feed their families, so they are more inclined to fight a lot as youngsters.

Sam-A Gaiyanghadao represents a much rarer type of fighter. Sam-A is 40 and was the former ONE flyweight Muay Thai, strawweight Muay Thai, and strawweight kickboxing world champion. Despite Sam-A being 15 years older than his opponent, he showed Akram Hamidi that age isn’t a barrier to success.

Sam-A dropped Hamidi twice in the first round. What made things devastating for Hamidi was that he could never figure out his veteran opponent’s timing. Sam-A officially stopped the fight with a left cross in the first round.

Dig the Body

Shadow Singha Mawynn wanted to set himself apart from Mohammad Siasarani during his featherweight Muay Thai fight. Shadow decided to invest a lot of time during the fight landing shots to the body. When Siasarani attempted to adjust, Shadow decided to pick up the pace.

During the second round, Shadow picked up a knockdown by landing a strong left hook to Siasarani ’s body. Shadow’s performance was so consistent that all of the judges agreed that he clearly won the fight.

Waghorn Suffers Rough FateOtis Waghorn finally saw his unbeaten record go away. Waghorn had a hard time keeping up with Suakim Sor Jor Tongprajin. While Waghorn was able to get into solid range and trade power punches, Waghorn wasn’t always the fighter who won those exchanges.

This wasn’t a perfect performance for Suakim. Waghorn landed a nasty right hand in the second round that rocked his opponent. However, Waghorn’s power wasn’t enough to secure a knockout.

Once the third round rolled around, the two men were both tired and spent time taking turns landing solid punches. The judges would end up getting involved after the final fight.

Here’s a look at the rest of the fights on the card not mentioned above:

Kickboxing (flyweight), Takeru Segawa won by knockout over Thant Zin

Kickboxing (bantamweight), Ilias Ennahachi win by decision over Hiroki Akimoto

Muay Thai (132-pound catchweight), Rittidet sor Sommai win by decision over Eisauku Ogasawara

Kickboxing (flyweight), Hyu win by decision over Youcef Saad

Muay Thai (133-pound catchweight), Jaosuayai Mor Krungthepthonburi win by decision over Suriyanlek Por Yenying
