Strickland Accused Of Creating Fake Beef To Boost His Profile
Belal Muhammad has accused Sean Strickland of creating beef over X to boost his profile.
Strickland is the former UFC Middleweight Champion. However, he lost his title to Dricus Du Plessis in his first defense. The American was arguably on the wrong end of a decision. But he did bounce back with a win over Paulo Costa at UFC 302. Between his fight camps, Strickland is known for sparring with various personalities. He infamously sparred and beat up influencer Sneako. That earned him the wrath of Jake Paul, who referred to Strickland as a bully.
Belal Reacts
Sean has also sparred with another influencer, Adin Ross. Meanwhile, his latest sparring was against an MMA fighter who was an ex-Navy SEAL. Strickland also fired shots at Navy SEALs, stating they could not handle MMA training. This included having a go at David Goggins, who responded by wanting a street fight with no rules. That never happened, while Belal accused Sean of using his social media to increase his clout.
“I wouldn’t call it a [real] beef. That’s what Sean is right? He’s a troll. Nobody cares what he says anymore because he doesn’t have the belt anymore. so now he’s just starting to attack these other guys with bigger followings and things like that, just to get attention.
“I knew what he was from the beginning, he’s fake. He’s not this tough guy that he says he is or this crazy guy that he says he is. He’s just doing stuff for clout and if he’s a man, challenge David Goggins dude… David Goggins’ workout, let’s see if you push through. Let’s see how big your heart is,” Belal said
Goggins did train Tony Ferguson for his fight against Paddy Pimblett. Before the fight, Ferguson had lost six in a row. While Ferguson managed to last the distance against an up-and-coming contender, he ultimately suffered a unanimous decision loss. That was Ferguson’s seventh consecutive loss. Ferguson refused to retire.
Goggins Reacts
As part of the training, Ferguson was the only MMA fighter to have completed Goggins’ ‘Hell Week’ challenge. During the training, Ferguson was seen throwing up from exhaustion as Goggins pushed him to the limit. Goggins challenged Strickland to take up the challenge. While Strickland agreed to do it, stating Goggins would only beat him at running, nothing has happened so far. But that has not stopped Goggins from getting Sean to back up his words, as the UFC fighter faces the pressure to live up to his words.
“This is your opportunity to show that world that you can…[mess] me up. I will have camera crews out there. You make sure you bring your…camera crew out there because you’re going to want to get this on camera. A 49-year-old, broke down knee,……[messed] up body guy is gonna put you through a camp that you think you can……[mess]me up in. This is your opportunity, Strickland. I haven’t forgotten about your video. I hope to see you there also,” Goggins stated
