Spence Will Beat Crawford – ‘Size And Power Will Be Too Much’

Trainer Bob Santos has picked Errol Spence Jr. to beat Terence Crawford.
The welterweights get ready for their undisputed showdown on July 29th, 2023.
Both fighters made their grand arrivals this week, as well as making an appearance during the undercard media workouts.
And as the fight edges closer, the bookies still have the Bud as the favorite. His ability to switch stances and change his game is seen as an integral part to negate Spence’s pressure-style.
This was most notably seen in Crawford’s win over Shawn Porter. As soon as the WBO champion realized that he was behind on the scorecards, he stopped Porter in the next round.
And in doing so, Bud showed his ability to make adjustments at the highest level. The victory was even more impressive, given that Spence could not stop Porter despite being bigger than Crawford.
And that once again highlighted Crawford’s ability to knockout his opponents since he has stopped all of them at welterweight.
Although that may be the case, Spence is the bigger welterweight. And on top of that, the Truth’s ability to overcome adversity has been shown through his two car accidents which didn’t impact his frame of mind, as he gets ready for the biggest fight of his career.
“Listen, Crawford is a heck of a fighter. Moving back and forth from orthodox to southpaw has produced fantastic results for him. I just feel like in the end, Spence’s advantage in size and power will be too much for Crawford. It really is close to a 50-50 fight but Spence has fought the better competition in the division and that could be another key factor.
“Spence has been through a lot but he always rises to the occasion. I could see a scenario play out where Crawford outboxes him and wins a decision but I still think Spence will be too big, too strong and too physical for him,” Santos
Ultimately, the fight will come down to who can execute their game plan to the letter in a fight that may be decided by small margins.
