Frank Warren of Queensbury Promotions, who happens to be Lamati’s promoter, confirmed that he had experienced a bleed in the brain.
Frank Warren has revealed that Ludomo Lamati suffered a bleed to his brain after the Nick Ball fight, so had an operation and was placed in a medically-induced coma. Warren said they’re flying his family over to be there when he is hopefully brought out of the coma. [@IFLTV]

“Our champion is making progress everyday and has started eating. We await further details from the doctors if he will be moved to a new ward with the progress he has made.
“We cannot thank everyone enough for the kind messages and prayers. Keep those positive thoughts / prayers coming,”
Much in the same way, Ball kept his post-fight celebrations to a minimum in light of what had happened.
While he extended his unbeaten record to 18-0 with 11 KOs, his mind was understandably preoccupied with Lamati.
“The main thing is Lamati’s health. I hope he’s alright.
“I will be even more happy when I know that, because boxing is no joke. You have got some people not taking it seriously and you can lose your life in here, so the main thing is his health,” Ball
It is not surprising, then, that the sentiment on social media was one of concern, with many wishing Lamati a speedy recovery.
