Shakur Stevenson And Edwin De Los Santos Both Make Weight
In today’s boxing news, Shakur Stevenson and Edwin De Los Santos‘ weigh in took place for their fight on November 16th, 2023.
The WBC lightweight belt will be up for grabs after the title became vacant following Devin Haney’s decision to move up to junior welterweight to take on Regis Prograis.
A win for Stevenson will secure a title in only his second fight at 135, following his win over Shuichiro Yoshino. And in doing so, Shakur will become a three-weight world champion.
Meanwhile, De Los Santos is on an impressive run of form having won his last three fights, beating Luis Acosta, Jose Valenzuela and Joseph Adorno.
In the co-main event, Emanuel Navarrete defends his WBO super featherweight belt against Robson Conceicao. The fight will be Navarrete’s second defense following his win over Oscar Valdez.
At the same time, a win for Conceição would be massive given his losses have come at the hands of world championship boxers: Shakur Stevenson and Oscar Valdez.
