Security Break Up A Brawl Between Jake Paul And Mike Perry
The weigh-in for Jake Paul and Mike Perry, as a brawl ensued when they had a face-off.
The pair have had a heated build-up in the run-up to the fight. Paul mocked Perry’s boxing skills, stating that fans should bet on him to stop Mike. Meanwhile, Perry has threatened to pull Paul’s eyes out, with both boxers firing verbal shots at each other.
Pre-Fight
“First of all, he’s bigging up BKFC but you’re going to see what I’m going to do to their best fighter on Saturday night, I’m going to embarrass the whole entire league. This guy has no skill, those are just brawler-idiot-street fighter dudes who have no idea what the sweet science is,” Paul
“That’s cool and I’m [still] going to beat you – isn’t that crazy? I’m 0-1 but how many pro boxers have you fought? Two guys and the last one – ey, I’m glad you got your shirt open so everyone can see your fat…belly – you’re as fat as the last guy you knocked out and you barely knocked him out.
“Don’t worry, you’re going to get what you’ve been asking for – for the fight to go longer than one round; I’m going to give you hell in the first, second, just wait and watch… Then you’re going to get tired and be grasping for air – I just made up a new word, grasping. You’re going to be grasping for air,” Perry
Paul vs. Perry
Paul will fancy his chances based on his current form. In his previous two fights, he has stoppage wins over Andre August and Ryan Bourland. He is also undefeated in his bouts against MMA fighters. Wins over Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley, Ben Askren and Nate Diaz make him the man to beat.
Perry was given the opportunity after Mike Tyson could not face Paul. Iron Mike had to withdraw after suffering from an inflamed ulcer. Now, Perry has the chance to shock the world and potentially secure a rematch in MMA with Paul.
The Problem Child has indicated his desire to make his PFL debut, with Perry as a potential opponent. Paul needed two attempts to make weight, first weighing at 200.4 pounds. Then Paul made the limit by hitting 200 pounds exactly. Meanwhile, Perry made weight by coming in at 196.6 pounds. When the two faced off, a brawl broke out, resulting in security to separate them.
