Ryan Garcia Returns To Training – ‘Back In The Lab’

Ryan Garcia is back in training as the boxer continues his ban from boxing.
Garcia is currently serving a year ban after testing positive for Ostarine. The news meant his win over Devin Haney became a no-contest. It was a massive blow to Garcia’s brand since his popularity had grown massively. Since the ban, he has gone through various struggles. His ex-wife, Andrea Celina, accused him of breaking into her home because she refused his access to their children for worries over substance abuse.
The WBC also banned Garcia after a series of derogatory remarks on social media. The boxer has said he would go into rehab. Now, he is turning his attention back to training. The following photos show Garcia working the pads as he puts his energy into a comeback.
Garcia’s Training
The news will delight his fans as Garcia may be working towards an exhibition fight. He attended Manny Pacquiao’s three-round exhibition against Rukiya Anpo in Japan this year. Pacman was outboxed for those three rounds, although there was no official result due to the make-up of the exhibition.
Garcia has praised Manny for being one of his heroes. The Filipino is an eight-division champion who became one of the most exciting fighters in the sport. Garcia did say that he will fight Pacman in an exhibition. Although no official announcement has come out, his training could signify that a fight could occur.
Garcia’s Future
“I was [in Japan figuring out] a fight date with Manny Pacquiao. Yeah, I’m going to fight him. This is the first time that it’s ever been announced. Yeah, it’s an exhibition. I am fighting Manny Pacquiao guys, let’s get it. It’s coming soon, I’m trying to work on [a date]. It will be at end of the year for sure. So, I’m trying to get more focused, stop drinking, and stop doing a lot of the [stuff] I was doing,” Garcia said
Garcia will be allowed to fight full time outside of an exhibition from April 2025. There is a narrative to run things back with Haney. Garcia said that the amount of Ostarine in his system was insufficient to enhance his performance. The reasoning from Garcia’s camp was that their fighter still beat Haney with his skills. However, Haney’s team have maintained that they would win on an even playing field.
Haney has said he wants the rematch, which would be much bigger given everything that has happened the first time around. But that all depends on Garcia remaining in good shape. He said he could not make 140, so he missed weight against Haney. Since his walk-around weight is above 154 pounds, Garcia must not ballon up between camps by staying disciplined to give fans more of a glimpse of the talent he has shown.
