Russian Fighter Wants to Steal the Thunder at ONE Fight Night 64

Russian Kiamran Nabati has been piling up victory after victory. When Nabati made the leap from kickboxing to Muay Thai, the Russian found that his skills translated pretty well. During Nabati’s first two fights in ONE Championship, he picked up two decision victories.

Those wins came over Thai standouts Pongsiri PK Saenchai and Avatar PK Saenchai. Online boxing news shows that ONE has recognized it is capable of much more. That’s why the promotion has paired him up with Kuladam Sor.Jor.Piek Uthai. Kuladam has become a staple of ONE Championship. Kuladam, a Thailand native, is a two-time Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion.

Last time out, Kuladam took a decision loss to former champion Nong-O Hama. But before that, Kuladam had left a path of destruction in his wake. Kuladam was on a five-fight unbeaten streak, including three consecutive wins by knockout.

When it comes to enthusiasm for the sport, few have enjoyed Muay Thai like Kuladam, who is 25. By the time he was 20, he already had 75 bouts under his belt. He has continued to stay active over the past few years.

ONE Championship has had a number of interesting contests at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium over the past few weeks. This event will be more of the same. This will feature a mix of Muay Thai, submission grappling, and MMA.

Petmuangsri Seeks to Live Up to Heavy Expectations

It’s amazing the pace that young fighters set in Muay Thai. Many young fighters can get upward of 50 fights done before they reach 20. When Pemuangsri Wankhongohm landed in ONE Champion, many people thought the 5-foot-8 Thai fighter had a solid chance for success moving forward.

Petmuangsri debuted with a knockout but soon found the realities of trying to compete against top competition in ONE. Petmuangsri was turned away in his second fight by Petsukumvit Boi Bangna, losing in the second round by knockout. For his third fight in the promotion, Petmuangsri will have another tough battle in the flyweight division.

While Denphuthai MC Superlek Muaythai is two inches shorter than Petmuangsri, he has an advantage in physical maturity. Dephunthai is 26 years old, but only has one previous fight in the promotion.

Denphuthai debuted with a decision win over Ruham Felipe Morais Caldas back in March of this year. While Denphuthai is making a quick turnaround, he will hope to take advantage of Pentmuangsri having a year off of competition.

Having a year off at the top level may not be a bad thing. Boxing news sites show that while ring rust is a thing, taking a few extra months after some time off may not be the end of the world.

Fighters Looking to Get Back into Competition

Petmorakota Sitnayoktaweeptaphong doesn’t have many fights on his record. But that doesn’t mean he is necessarily outmanned for the 127-pound catchweight Muay Thai fight that he is preparing for. ONE matches Petmorakot up with Dieselnoi Liamthanawat, who also hasn’t fought much as of late in top promotions.

With both men in search of making a name for themselves, both should look to push the pace and seek out a knockout. Finishing a fight could bring more positive attention to their careers.

Iranian Fighter Looks to Make a Splash

Parham Gheirati has continued to impress everyone involved at ONE. The Iranian Muay Thai fighter hopes to move to 4-0 in the promotion when he takes on Australian Jordan Godtfredsen in a bantamweight contest.

Gheirati, 20, hasn’t slowed down much since he joined ONE. During his last fight, he knocked out Otop Or Kwanmuang in just 62 seconds in an impressive showing back in March. Gheirati is an incredibly active fighter, picking up one victory by split decision.

Godtfredsen is hoping to make quick adjustments. While he didn’t win his debut fight, he at least impressed one judge. Godtfredsen lost his last fight via split decision to Yodlekpet Or Atchariya last July.

Gheirati doesn’t have too much combat sports experience in other disciplines. He has some MMA profiles on the best MMA news sites, but there aren’t any fighters on his record.

Seyid Hopes to be Rude Host

Isfak Seyid has likely been itching to get back into action in the ring. Seyid, a Turkish resident, debuted in ONE last September with a decision win over Konstantin Marearsekul. What Seyid would like to do during his second trip through the promotion is finish a fight.

He will get that opportunity against Felipe Negochadle. Negochadle, a Chinese fighter, has put together a strong number of fights on the regional scene. He has won his previous five fights, all by stoppage.

This will be a big step up in competition for Negochadle. Taking the leap from the regional scene to a more world-oriented organization can be a more difficult challenge.

Seyid has a sustained record of success on the regional scene. He has four other victories outside of ONE. Two of those wins came by submission and one by knockout.

Grappling Will Get the Card Going

Shoya Ishiguro and Bruno Azevedo will showcase what makes ONE Championship so unique. There will be two black belts going back and forth in a 139-pound submission grappling match. Ishiguro made his ONE Championship debut back in March.

Ishiguro has picked up a decision win over Toshiyasu Sagae. Azevedo was also successful in his debut. However, Azevedo was able to make more noise with how he started and ended the fight. Azevedo wrapped up a second-round submission win over Talekh Gamidov.
