Regian Eersel Ready for Another Opportunity to Win ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Title

Regian Eersel has spent six months thinking about how things went wrong. The long-time ONE lightweight kickboxing champion saw a 10-fight winning streak come to a halt during a decision loss to Alexis Nicolas in April. It was a major surprise in online boxing news when Eersel took a loss.
Eersel, who was also the ONE Muay Thai lightweight champion, successfully defended his kickboxing championship four times. He has also defended the Muay Thai belt twice. But Nicolas had the perfect game plan to slow down Eersel. While Eersel showed off his excellent skill by scoring an early knockdown, that didn’t discourage Nicolas. Nicolas will want to prove that how he rallied in that fight wasn’t a fluke.
Over the next four rounds, Nicolas put the pressure on Eersel and earned a decision victory. The rematch will be hotly contested for both fighters. Eersel will likely be favored to regain his title.
Before the loss to Nicolas, Eersel had the look of a fighter who would reign on top of the division for a long time. But maintaining your edge when you are on top is difficult for anyone who finds success.
Lineker Wants to Prove It Again

It’s hard to think about what John Lineker isn’t able to accomplish. Lineker has mostly found consistent success in the cage, according to MMAfighting latest news. The question was, could Lineker’s skills translate to Muay Thai?
During Lineker’s maiden voyage in Muay Thai earlier this year, he scored a knockout toward the end of the second round. This weekend, Lineker will go for a second win in Muay Thai. He is scheduled for a bantamweight clash with Alexey Balyko. Overall, Lineker is 7-2 with one no contest in ONE.
Balyko will still be a test for Lineker. During his time in ONE, Balyko has produced two knockouts. He is coming off a first-round knockout win in July. This should be a fun fight and a good test for how far Lineker’s development has come.Lineker has the nickname Hands of Stone. With how hard Lineker hits, anyone who takes his relative lack of experience in Muay Thai for granted will be in a tough position.
Johan Estupinan is Always Ready for a Scrap

Johan Estupinan has been a good signing with ONE. The best MMA news site noted that Estupinan is the first fighter from Colombia to make it to ONE. Just one month after picking up a win at ONE 168, Estupinan is answering the call for another Muay Thai battle.
Estupinan has won his first three bouts in ONE and is 25-0 overall in his career. The question for the Colombian fighter is, how high can he climb? Estupinan will be up against a desperate opponent when he takes on Zakaria El Jamari.
El Jamari came to ONE with a reputation for having power in his hands and being a capable competition. So far in ONE, El Jamari has failed to deliver on his promise. He has taken two knockout losses so far. His last defeat came in August when he was knocked out in 97 seconds.
Estupinan may be in a good position to add another impressive victory to his collection.
Fun With Strawweights
ONE is searching for the top contenders to separate themselves and earn a shot at the championship. This fight card will give fight fans an opportunity to see a number of the most compelling contenders compete. Bokang Masunyane is ranked second in the division and is one of the most interesting prospects.
Bokang, 30, is 4-1 in ONE and has rebounded from his only loss with a pair of decision victories. For Bokang’s next challenge, he will be forced to lock horns with fifth-ranked Mansur Malachiev. Malachiev doesn’t have a ton of experience in ONE.
He has won two of his three fights in the organization and needs another win over an elite opponent to build his reputation. Bokang said he plans to take his time in this contest and wants to have a memorable fight.
The No. 4 ranked strawweight Hiroba Minowa will square off with Sanzhar Zakirov. During Minowa’s career, he has made a point to try and fight the top competition. The only problem with constantly seeking out top competition in Muay Thai is that it constantly puts you in danger of taking a loss.
Minowa, who has lost to Bokang, finally bounced back from a three-fight losing streak by beating Jeremy Miado in a split decision back in July. Minowa really needs a boost of confidence. Zakirov won’t lack confidence coming into this fight.
Zakirov is undefeated in his career. Since coming to ONE, Zakirov has won two of these three fights by knockout. Beating a respected veteran would be good for Zakirov, and this should be a fun fight.
Grapplers Ready For Time in the Spotlight
Ayaka Miura has righted the ship. There was a time whan the 34-year-old Japanese grappler couldn’t figure out a way to get her hand raised. However, after suffering through a three-fight losing streak, Miura has seen things start to turn around recently.
Miura has won back-to-back contests, including a submission win over Meng Bo in November 2023. She will need to find that fountain of youth again when she fights Jihin Radzuan. Radzuan, 26, is 8-4 in ONE and has picked up three wins by submission.
Radzuan has never been submitted. This will be a real challenge for Miura, who will need to lean on all of her excellent skills to turn things around.
Here’s the rest of the fights on the card that weren’t mentioned above:
Muay Thai (Flyweight), Kongthoranee Sor Sommai vs. Tagir Khalilov
Muay Thai (Lightweight), Sinsamut Klinmee vs. Yousset Assouik
Muay Thai (Atomweight), Amy Pirnie vs. Shir Cohen
Muay Thai (Strawweight), Thongpoon PK Saenchai vs. Rui Botelho
MMA (Flyweight), Danial Williams vs. Banma Duoji
