Reece Mould Beats Stefan Vincent, Talks Exclusive With Boxing News!

Reece Mould defeated Stefan Vincent via a decision over the weekend, as boxingnews caught up with him for an exclusive interview.
The fight took place on the Shakiel Thompson vs David Benitez main event, live on DAZN as Mould extended his record to 20-3-0. It was his second win on the spin, the perfect response after his last loss to Ryan Walsh. His only other losses have come against Gary Cully and Leigh Wood. The latter is a two-time featherweight champion, showing Reece fell short at elite level. But his latest win was a massive boost of confidence as we caught up with the British boxer. Here is what he had to say to our very own Max Shears.
Exclusive Interview
Max: This is Max Shears for boxing news. First of all, I’m joined by Reece Mould. See now, you’ve got your 20th professional victory. That must feel pretty special.
Reece: “Yeah, it’s great. You know, definitely not the best performance tonight. But yeah, I’m back in there and shook a few demons off from what happened in this arena last time out.”
Max: How would you rate your performance, which you said is not your best, but like against him, it was a tough opponent. He’s had more professional bouts than you. How would you rate that performance?
Reece: “I don’t know. I don’t rate it whatsoever. I’ve tried too hard for the knockout. I know every time I’m catching him I was hurting him, and then I was looking to take him out with every shot. And he was tricky. Like you say, his experience, but it was tricky, yeah, so I didn’t want to fall over myself and catch me with an unexpected shot. I boxed within myself and did what I had to do, really, without taking any risks.”
More Insights
Max: I wanted to touch on another man from you, Jake Goodwin. Former Leeds Beckett captain, obviously, he returns the ring very soon. What have you seen from him in the gym? What can we expect from Jake on his return?
Reece: “Jake’s very fit. He is always in the gym, and he’s making massive improvements. And he’s going to take them improvements into his next fight. He’s got a tough fight next. He’s putting his wrongs right, and I’m sure you’ll see them in his next fight.”
Mac: You have Maxi Hughes in your corner and Josh Warrington. How much are they helping? So they’ve got the experience as well in the game, how good is it having them in your corner?
Reece: “Oh, it’s unbelievable. Us three are like brothers in the sport. We bounce off of each other. We pick each other up. We’ve all got losses, and we all pick each other up. I know if they’re telling me something in the corner, I know I need to listen to that and take it on board.”
