WBO Welterweight Champion Brian Norman Jr. defends his title against two-weight world champion Devin Haney, as pros gave their predictions.
Norman Jr. enters the bout with a fifth-round knockout of Jin Sasaki. That was his third stoppage win on the spin. In contrast, having already secured titles at lightweight (135 lbs) and junior welterweight (140 lbs), Haney is now pursuing a title in a third weight class. Haney’s recent decision win over Jose Ramirez in May helped him put the controversy surrounding his no-contest result against Ryan Garcia behind him.

“I think Devin in his pomp, in his prime, full of confidence, beats Brian Norman. For me, it’s just the Ramirez performance. He needs the confidence back. I think 147 will really suit him, but it’s his first fight up there…And Brian Norman, how good is Brian Norman? I think, you know, sometimes we talk about the power of Brian Norman.
