Proper No. 12 Cuts Ties With McGregor After He Was Found Liable For Sexual Assault

Proper No. 12 Irish Whiskey is no longer associated with Conor McGregor, as the company dropped him after he was found liable for sexual assault.
A jury concluded that McGregor was liable, as he was ordered to pay Nikita Hand approximately $258,440. She claimed the UFC fighter sexually assaulted her in 2018. It is alleged McGregor had sex with Nikita without her consent in a Dublin hotel room. McGregor’s friend James Lawrence was also alleged to have done this. However, Lawrence was cleared.
The Notorious has said he will appeal the decision. But it has started to have an impact on his career. The Hitman video game franchise responded by stating that they would stop working with McGregor. McGregor is in the game ‘Hitman: World of Assassination.’ But the company has taken steps to cut ties with the Irishman.
“In light of the recent court ruling regarding Conor McGregor, IO Interactive has made the decision to cease its collaboration with the athlete, effective immediately. We take this matter very seriously and cannot ignore its implications. Consequently, we will begin removing all content featuring Mr. McGregor from our storefronts starting today,” Hitman franchise
McGregor Dropped
Now, Proper No. 12 has done the same. McGregor became associated with the brand in 2018 when it was launched. He has regularly been seen advertising the brand, making it one of the most popular ventures the Irishman has been involved in. However, Proper No. 12’s decision means that many other brands could follow suit, hitting McGregor financially.
The incident has also impacted the McGregor family. McGregor has been with his long-term fiancée , Dee Devlin, since 2008. Devlin has been by McGregor’s side as the latter worked his way up the UFC rankings to become one of the most talked-about fighters. They currently have four children, which is no doubt making the recent lawsuit more difficult to deal with. However, Devlin is standing by McGregor. Devlin made the following post on Instagram, questioning the recent decision of the jury.
McGregor’s Fiancée
“Imagine a WOMAN, with her own boyfriend and child, texting provocative pictures of herself to another woman’s man with a family and child on the way. This woman claims to know me. Yet still went ahead and sent messages and pictures of herself over and over to the man? Really?
“Whilst out on a 3 day bender, texting excuses to her own child at home where mammy is on Saturday afternoon, Saturday night, Sunday morning, Sunday night into Monday morning. All the while out of her face in a hotel room dancing around a hotel carpark. What sort of WOMAN are you? My sons will be warned women like you exist in the world.”
“CCTV DOES NOT LIE. I look forward to the day the world will see the footage of you on that night and the carry on of you. Not a bother on you having the time of your life. This is the real evidence. Video footage no one knew was being taken in the moment which miraculously you don’t remember. To me, it looks like you’re the one sexually assaulting in the lift. To me, it looks like everyone is trying to get away from you.
“Conor and I dealt with these issues privately many years ago. As should be done in a relationship and we have come out stronger than ever. We have four beautiful children now whose smiling faces and happy hearts are a testament to who he is and who we are! They without sin cast the first stone,” Devlin said
