Plant Hits Charlo Following A Huge Altercation

Caleb Plant uncharacteristically hit Jermall Charlo in the aftermath of the Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford weigh-in.

The incident was a shock to say the least, given that the motivation behind it was not clear.

Although that may have been the case, the two fighters have been linked with fighting each other.

Following Plant’s loss to Canelo Alvarez, he entertained the idea of facing the WBC middleweight champion if he could not secure a rematch with Canelo.

But as things would turn out, the American faced David Benavidez instead. And yet, this latest incident now may go on to create some hype for a potential fight later down the line.

The following video shows Plant hitting Charlo, as the security separates the two fighters. ‘Sweethands’ is then taken out of the building, with Charlo left a little shell-shocked.

Before the actual event happened, Plant allegedly had this to say: “Don’t you ever grab me by my motherf****in’ face again like that, boy.”

This is not the first time that Plant has been involved in such a thing. Following his face-off with Canelo, Plant swung at Canelo who moved out of the way before countering. In the aftermath of that, Canelo had this to say.

“What happened was he started talking a lot of things and I didn’t answer. And then the bad thing he said was, ‘You motherf***er!’ You can say what you want to me, but not to my mother. My mother is not here. Nothing to do here. So that’s why I pushed him and then he came back with a left hook,” Canelo

Much in the same way, this time there was an equal response to the incident between Plant and Charlo, as even Conor McGregor spoke out.

“Get right back here this second Sir, you’re going nowhere till we settle this dispute here and now. Wtf is going on there? Clean cracked and let’s him walk out? No. Nope. Nah. Not a f—in’ hope,” Conor McGregor

So will a fight happen with Plant and Charlo. Time will tell. You can stay up-to-date with the latest happenings in the world of boxing by visiting boxingblitz right here.
