Paul Drops Diaz As He Beats The MMA Star Via A Unanimous Decision

Jake Paul secured a unanimous-points win over Nate Diaz in an entertaining encounter.
From the off, Jake came out firing as he let fly with numerous combinations as Diaz’s legs almost gave way. Although Diaz managed to stay upright, in truth, it set the tone for the rest of the fight.

Diaz did fare better in the next, but it was Jake landing the cleaner shots as Diaz struggled early on. Although that may have been the case, Diaz did have some success in the fourth.
As Paul appeared to slow down for the first time, Diaz unloaded with shots as Paul clinched in his attempt to stay upright.
However, the ‘Problem Child’ responded in the best way. A left hook in the fifth sent Diaz to the floor. Although Jake attempted to finish him off, Diaz survived as well as landing some shots in return.

But rather than rush in for the kill, Jake kept his composure to box and move in the sixth rather than gassing out.
Realising that things were against him, Diaz put on the pressure in rounds seven and eight, as Jake once again appeared to be tiring.
And it came to a head in the tenth, as Paul held on, despite numerous shots coming in from Diaz which included a guillotine choke.

“Although he’s a warrior, you know? I had him hurt in the first round, he kept on coming and no one’s taken that much damage.
“He’s real tough. That’s what he’s known for. But tough in this sport doesn’t work. Let’s run it back in MMA. Make it fair. I won one, now it’s your chance in your home territory. MMA, let’s do it,” Paul
“I’ll do either MMA or boxing. MMA sounds good. (Paul) won one and I need to get one back. So I’m down with that. It’s tough. I wish I could’ve done better and did better things. …But it’s all good,” Diaz
