Parham Gheirati Grinds Out Decision During Night of Wild Finishes at ONE Friday Night Fights 74
Any other opponent may have crumpled under the pressure of Parham Gheirati’s head kicks in the first round. But despite hitting the mat, Yodphupa Petkiatpet got back up. Once Yodphupa got back up, the Road to Thailand winner was ready to battle.
Gheirati had to make some adjustments after the second round. Yodphupa was able to land some important elbows and did enough to get ahead in the striking in the second round. Once the final round rolled around, Yodphupa seemed to lose some of that magic he found during the second round.
Gheirati had started to push into the pocket during the third round. Being in the pocket allowed Gheirati to grab hold of Yodphupa and release heavy knees. Online boxing news shows that the attack would prove to be difficult for Yodphupa to handle. Gheirati dropped Yodphupa with his knees.
While Yodphupa would work his way back to his feet, Gheirati would earn the nod from the judges scoring the fight. He has now improved to 5-0 since joining ONE.
While the lower part of the card produced plenty of knockouts, the fights toward the top marquee mostly ended via decision. There was plenty for everyone who likes fights to end in different ways.
Denkriangkrai Singha Mawynn Wins Comfortably
