Panrit Lukjaomaesaiwaree didn’t flinch when the fight went in different directions Friday night at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. Worapan Sor Dechapan thought of several different attacks at Panrit.

But Panrit wasn’t surprised by anything that came his way. The 27-year-old fighter was able to change tactics several times throughout the fight, according to the MMAfighting latest news. To open the first round, Panrit focused on snapping aggressive kicks toward Worapan.

This strategy wouldn’t be viable in the second round. Worapon began loading up on his punches and firing back. When Worapon started to wade forward and get in the pocket, Panrit utilized elbows and low kicks to keep Worapan away.

This strategy was successful enough that Worapan never ended up being able to get his momentum going. Panrit was able to win comfortably to pick up his third straight victory.

Sanpet Stays on His Toes to Grab Victory

There wasn’t any quit in Sanpet Sor Salacheep. When things got tough for Sanpet during his 130-pound catchweight Muay Thai fight with Watcharaphon, he leaned on his speed and looked for counterpunches to grab a unanimous decision victory.

But Sanpet didn’t open the fight by needing to counter much of what his opponent was doing when the fight started. Fighting behind a solid jab opened the door for Sanpet to land his power shots. But Sanpet couldn’t keep up that pace for the entire fight.

In the middle of the third round, online boxing news showed that Watcharaphon Singha Mawynn finally found his bearings. He was able to land several stiff shots that threatened to finish the fight. However, Sanpet was able to withstand the shots and pick up a decision win.

Sanpet now has a 88-30 career record.

Gonzalez Leaves No Doubts

Xavier Gonzalez didn’t like the conversation surrounding his first fight with Win Sitjanim. The latest boxing news online shows that there was some thought he picked up a decision he didn’t deserve during the first fight. Gonzalez laid all of those thoughts to rest when they met for the second time.

During the opening round, the two men went back and forth, with Gonzalez pulling ahead despite a late surge from Win. But those good feelings from the end of the first round wouldn’t extend to the second round. Win’s idea to win was to try and push the pace.

But Win’s aggression ended up getting turned against him. When Win attacked with a heavy combo, Gonzalez landed a counter right hand 28 seconds into the second round that put him out for good. The win was Gonzalez’s fourth in ONE Championship.

Sonsueknoi Doesn’t Stay Down for Long

Bouncing back from a defeat was something that Sornsueknoi FA Group was hoping never to experience in his Muay Thai career. But boxing news sites note that the frequency of fights Muay Thai fighters participate in make this nearly impossible.

Sornsueknoi bounced back from a difficult loss to Eisaku Ogasawara at ONE Friday Night Fights 60 in April 2024 this weekend by controlling the tempo of his fight with Jencherng Pumpanmuang. What Sornsueknoi showed may have been one of the more impressive performances of his career.

Sornsueknoi was able to do enough to impress the judges during his fight. But Sornsueknoi took ONE by storm when he first came into the promotion in September 2023. He won his first three fights, all by knockout.

Winning on the scorecards had to feel good for Sonesueknoi, who had never won the scorecards before in ONE.

Toyota Provides Flash of Potential

Toyota Eaglemuaythai left ONE fans wanting more after a spectacular debut with the promotion. Toyota’s atomweight Muay Thai debut lasted less than three minutes. He was battling with Fino Chor Ketwina in an atomweight battle to produce a spectacular result.

Toyota decided to put the pressure on Fino Chor Ketwina shortly after the fight started. The weapon of choice for Toyota was his punishing leg kicks. Those leg kicks severely limited Fino’s mobility.

The lack of solid movement would come back to bite him in a big way. Toyota pressed forward to push Fino along the ropes. When Fino had no place to run, Toyota released a vicious barrage of punches.

Initially, Toyota set the table for a spectacular finish by throwing an overhand right and a left hook. When Fino attempted to battle back, Toyota landed a straight left that sent Fino to the canvas. It was an impressive win for Toyota, who is 23.

ONE fans will be interested to see if he can follow that up with another strong performance.

Petmai Lands Vicious Body Kick

There are few things in combat sports that are more devastating than a stiff kick to the body. An impact of a shot to the liver can shut down your body totally. Petmai MC Superlek Muaythai knew that he could employ such a weapon during his 112-pound fight with Sungprab Lookpichit.

Sungprab left openings for Petmai to capitalize on. Part of that was due to Sungprab’s desire to be aggressive. Especially during the first round, Sungprab came out firing. He was aggressive in attempting to land his right hand and kicks.

Petmai didn’t mind the pressure he was facing. During the first round, Petmai dropped Sungprab with a hook. In the second round, Petmai landed his big kick. A stiff shot to the liver shut down Sungprab just over two minutes into the second round.

Here’s a look at the rest of the results not listed above:

  • Kickboxing (lightweight), George Jarvis win by decision over Ricardo Bravo
  • Muay Thai (flyweight), Sonrak Fairtex win by majority decision over Alfie Pointing
