Pacquiao Knocks Out IShowSpeed
Manny Pacquiao dropped streamer IShowSpeed with a brutal body shot during a sparring session.
Pacquiao is one of the greatest boxers of his generation, having won titles in eight world classes. At his peak, he was known for his devastating knockout power. His stoppage wins over Ricky Hatton and Oscar De La Hoya showed his blistering hand speed.
His last professional fight was in 2021, when he lost to Yordenis Ugas. Since then, he has had two exhibition fights. He beat DK Yoo via a unanimous decision. Meanwhile, his last one was a three-rounder against Rukiya Anpo. While there was no official verdict, Pacman was outboxed for those three rounds.
He is being linked with a return to professional boxing with a possible fight against WBC Welterweight Champion Mario Barrios. A win over Barrios makes Pacman the oldest welterweight champion in history at 45. He already holds this record when he beat Keith Thurman in 2019 for the WBA Welterweight Title.
Pacquiao’s Return
Mike Tyson is also going to have a pro come back when he boxes Jake Paul on November 15. This is his first pro fight since losing to Kevin McBride in 2005. That may fuel Manny to do the same. However, the boxer has been advised against making a comeback based on the risks to his health.
“I think it’s so hard for fighters, you have seen it in the Olympics with athletes coming back. We’ve seen so many fighters come back, you always think back to Muhammad Ali and the damage that those last fights had on his life. It is very hard as a promoter to say it, but equally if you have enough money in the bank you have to protect your health.
“I think it showed in that exhibition that it really should be the end, but ultimately stranger things have happened. As I say fighters are addicted to that buzz and it is very hard to replace it in those final years,” Ben Shalom said
While a pro return has not been confirmed, Manny still had desire to show off his skills. The following footage shows him and IShowSpeed sparring. Pacman then lands a brutal body shot that sends the streamer to the floor.
Pacquiao Vs. IShowSpeed
This is not the first time IShowSpeed has suffered when he has sparred with other people. He took on the same challenge when he came up against KSI. KSI does have some boxing experience, having faced off against Logan Paul. He also took on a pro boxer in the form of Tommy Fury. Although he lost a decision, some felt he had been hard done by.
When he faced IShowSpeed, it was clear that there was a difference in class. The following footage shows IShowSpeed on the canvas after getting pummelled by KSI. But the desire to continue taking shots and get in the ring is something that must be admired. And who knows if IShowSpeed shows up on a Misfits card.
