Manny Pacquiao is reportedly set to return to boxing with another exhibition lined up.

Pacquiao is an eight-division champion, with nothing else to prove in the sport as he is now 45.

Although Pacquiao did lose to Floyd Mayweather, his legacy speaks for itself.

And yet, according to reports, Pacquiao is lining up a press conference to confirm his next opponent: kickboxer Buakaw Banchamek.

The former is 41, as his latest wins include a knockout victory over Kota Miura and a first-round knockout of Yoshihiro Sato.

Pacquiao’s previous fight was against an MMA fighter in the form of DK Yoo. Pacquaio beat Yoo with suggestions that Manny could have regular such bouts.

After all, Pacquiao had signed with RIZN in 2022 which is expected to hold his exhibitions.

“A few months ago, I was here as a guest and today I have a very exciting announcement tonight. I have agreed with Rizin to fight next year.

“The date will soon be announced and also my opponent that Rizin will choose. And I’m open and excited to fight a Japanese fighter. Thank you,” Manny said

The former world champion was set to face boxer, Jaber Zayani, in February only for that fight to not happen.

Therefore, there is still a chance that things could be called off with this bout.

Despite the fact that Manny does not need the exhibitions, he has shown previously that there is a motive behind it.

The star has been vocal about how the proceeds from these exhibitions have gone to charity.

And given that the fighter is known for giving back to the community, such a fight could provide another opportunity to do that.

Manny’s previous fight against Yoo confirmed as much: “100% of the proceeds of this exhibition event goes to charities. Families in need will benefit from this event.

“If there is more money raised we can add more [homes] as the construction is still ongoing,” Manny

Pacquaio’s name continues to stay relevant to this day, as boxing fans commend him for his achievements both inside and outside of the ring. And there is no getting away from that.
