Three UFC Vegas 120 Fighters Hospitalized After Violent Finishes
Three fighters were transported to hospital following UFC Vegas 120 on Saturday night at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas.
Billy Goff, Gigi Canuto and Carol Foro were each taken for precautionary CT scans after absorbing significant damage in their bouts, UFC officials confirmed to MMA Mania. All three underwent head and face imaging as a standard safety measure.
Goff Stopped Brutally in Third Round
Goff was carried out after a third-round stoppage loss to undefeated welterweight prospect Ty Miller. The 27-year-old is now 1-3 in the UFC and riding a three-fight skid, with back-to-back finishes going against him. A release could be coming.
Brazilian newcomers Canuto and Foro were also transported after their strawweight opener, a hard-fought three-rounder that saw both women land heavy shots throughout. Foro won by unanimous decision in what turned into an entertaining debut for both prospects.
Canuto, a TUF 34 contestant who entered the show as a favorite, saw her three-fight finish streak snapped. Foro extended her win streak to eight and owns a 77 percent finish rate with six knockouts. The results of the scans have not been disclosed.
