UFC Vegas 119 Bonuses: Kape, Magomedov Earn $100K Awards

Four fighters collected $100,000 bonuses following UFC Vegas 119 on Saturday night at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Manel Kape earned a Performance of the Night award for his third-round finish of Kyoji Horiguchi in the main event. The flyweight staggered his opponent with a counter right hand before unleashing ground strikes that ended the bout at 2:42 of the final frame, according to Sherdog. The finish avenged a 2017 submission loss Kape suffered to Horiguchi under the Rizin banner.

Magomedov Lands Rare Twister in UFC Debut

Promotional newcomer Murtazali Magomedov also took home a $100,000 Performance of the Night check after submitting Melsik Baghdasaryan with a twister just 1:17 into the opening round of their featherweight contest. The submission marked only the fourth twister in UFC history.

Vinicius Oliveira and Andre Fili split Fight of the Night honors for their featherweight clash. Fili controlled the early action with body kicks, but Oliveira rallied in the second round to stop the Team Alpha Male veteran with punches and elbows along the cage at 4:56.

UFC Vegas 119 aired live from the Apex facility with Kape headlining his first UFC card.
