UFC 330 Philadelphia official: Makhachev-Garry, Dern-Robertson
Islam Makhachev will put his welterweight belt on the line against Ian Garry at UFC 330 on Aug. 15 in Philadelphia, the promotion confirmed Wednesday. Mackenzie Dern defends her strawweight title against Gillian Robertson in the co-main event.
Both bouts had been rumored for weeks but received official confirmation from the UFC this week, per Sherdog. The card airs exclusively on Paramount+ from the Xfinity Mobile Arena.
Makhachev chases Silva's win streak record at 170 pounds
Makhachev moved up from lightweight after defending that crown four times, capturing the welterweight strap with a lopsided decision over Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 322 last November. The Dagestani's current run stands at 16 straight UFC wins, tied with Anderson Silva for the longest streak in promotion history. Garry has won 10 of 11 UFC appearances, most recently stopping Belal Muhammad and Carlos Prates after dropping a decision to Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 310 in December 2024.
Dern claimed the vacant strawweight belt by outpointing Virna Jandiroba at UFC 320 in October after Weili Zhang moved to flyweight. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist has strung together three straight wins, including two over Jandiroba. Robertson carries a five-fight winning streak into the title shot, having edged Amanda Lemos by decision at UFC Fight Night 269 in March.
The Aug. 15 card marks the UFC's return to Philadelphia after a two-year absence.
