UFC 329 on Paramount+ draws 15.9M viewers for McGregor return
Conor McGregor's UFC 329 return drew 15.9 million viewers on Paramount+, the network announced Wednesday, trailing the 17 million who watched the White House event earlier this year.
The card peaked at 8.3 million concurrent streams and averaged 6.5 million viewers per minute, according to Nielsen Live Streaming Custom Analysis. The White House broadcast hit 7.9 million concurrent streams and averaged 8.2 million viewers per minute.
How UFC 329 viewership compares to White House numbers
Despite the lower totals, Paramount+ called the year a success for UFC programming. The network reported that 20 million subscriber households have logged more than 200 million hours of UFC content since January, viewership the company said is 23 times the average pay-per-view draw over the past two years.
McGregor's main event loss to Max Holloway sparked immediate backlash from bettors and at least one NFL analyst, who demanded refunds after the lopsided finish. The former two-division champion later called for sportsbooks to cover losses on his behalf, a request the books rejected.
Paramount+ has not announced the next major UFC streaming card on the platform.
