Tsarukyan Submits Indian Influencer
Arman Tsarukyan went to India, threw a fitness influencer through the air, submitted him in two minutes, and called out Dillon Danis on his way out.
Arman faced Ankit Baiyanpuria in a grappling match on Saturday. Tsarukyan gained control on the feet before launching Baiyanpuria into the air with a suplex, slamming him to the ground, and immediately transitioning to an armbar that produced the tap just over two minutes in.
Tsarukyan used his post-fight interview to look ahead. The name he dropped was Dillon Danis. The callout is unlikely to produce a fight with genuine competitive stakes, but Danis carries name recognition that translates to attention.
Arman has not competed in the Octagon since last November, when he demolished Dan Hooker in the main event of UFC Qatar. Before that, a 17-month layoff followed his UFC 300 win over Charles Oliveira in April 2024.
The title picture at 155 pounds has its own complications. Justin Gaethje holds the lightweight championship and has mentioned Tsarukyan as a future opponent, but a Gaethje return before 2027 appears unlikely at this stage. That timeline matters because Tsarukyan, 28 and operating at the peak of his physical ability, is the division's most deserving contender by most assessments and has five consecutive wins in the weight class.
