Thomas Gerbasi posthumously inducted into UFC Hall of Fame
Thomas Gerbasi, who served as UFC's Editorial Director for more than 20 years, will be posthumously inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in the Contributor Wing.
The promotion announced the honor on social media, writing that Gerbasi would be "forever immortalized" for his work documenting and shaping the organization's history. "We honor Thomas Gerbasi's life, accomplishments, and unmeasurable impact as the author who shaped UFC history," the statement read, per Sherdog.
Gerbasi's two-decade impact on UFC coverage
Gerbasi spent over two decades crafting the editorial voice of the UFC, producing fighter profiles, event recaps, and feature stories that gave fans inside access to the sport's biggest names. His work helped establish the narrative foundation for a promotion that grew from niche spectacle to mainstream powerhouse.
The Contributor Wing recognizes individuals whose behind-the-scenes contributions advanced mixed martial arts. Gerbasi joins a group that includes referees, judges, broadcasters, and other figures who built the infrastructure of the sport without stepping into the cage.
No date has been announced for the formal induction ceremony.
