In the latest boxing news, Ryan Garcia’s first fight under his new trainer, Derrick James, will involve a bout against Oscar Duarte as both boxers had their first presser on December 2nd, 2023.

The fight will test Garcia’s credentials at the 140-pound weight class against a fighter, who has stopped his last eleven opponents.

The bout will, therefore, test Garcia’s defensive skills which were found wanting in the boxer’s last fight against Gervonta Davis.

The latter countered Garcia, who had made a promising start, in the second round to drop the boxer. Thereafter, Garcia was never the same as the boxer was stopped in the seventh round.
