World U19 champion Ruby White claimed her first senior national title at flyweight in Derby on Saturday, beating Madi Gittens of Box Club on a unanimous decision. The Sturminster Newton boxer extended her unbeaten run past 60 consecutive victories, according to Sky Sports.

White, a four-time European champion at age group level, told Sky Sports she proved doubters wrong by winning as a first-year senior. "I think I proved a lot of people wrong being a first year senior and winning this tournament," she said. "The secret to my success is that I want it more. I train harder than anybody."

Billy Macey secured his second men's flyweight national championship after opponent Yusuf Uddin was disqualified and shoved the referee. Macey referenced Joe Calzaghe's three national titles as inspiration for his own campaign at the England Boxing finals.

De Hood's Adekali Kargbo dethroned reigning 90kg champion Akinola Tijani on a 4-1 split decision, while Clinton Achusim of Longsight stopped Finchley's Anthony Ibekwe to claim the super-heavyweight belt in what Sky Sports called arguably the bout of the night. Achusim said he knows how to adapt and punch hard, adding the title is one of many to come.

Repton's Amo Singh unanimously defeated James Smith to win the 65kg championship. Joe Turner prevailed at 62.5kg on a split decision over Halliwell's Joe Peel, telling Sky Sports he had no doubt he would one day become world champion as a professional.

Meanwhile, a GB squad competes at the World Boxing Cup in Brazil through April 26, with Sheffield's Teagn Stott moving up to heavyweight after winning cruiserweight silver at last year's World Championships in Liverpool.
