Nurmagomedov Defends Lightweight Title At PFL New York

Unbeaten lightweight champion Usman Nurmagomedov defends his title against Archie Colgan in the main event of PFL New York on July 31 at UBS Arena in Long Island.

The 11-fight card features Nurmagomedov, who carries a perfect 21-0 record, against the similarly unblemished Colgan, who stands at 13-0, per Sherdog. In the co-main event, top-ranked women's flyweight Dakota Ditcheva returns from a layoff of more than a year to face Denise Kielholtz in a bout that could determine the next challenger at 125 pounds. Ditcheva enters the contest 15-0, while Kielholtz brings a 9-5 mark.

Unbeaten Prospects Featured Throughout Card

The main card also includes a heavyweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">light heavyweight matchup between Dovletdzhan Yagshimuradov and Simeon Powell, plus a lightweight contest featuring undefeated prospect Amru Magomedov against Angel Alvarez. The preliminary card is headlined by a bantamweight clash between Raufeon Stots and unbeaten Lazaro Dayron, who holds a 10-0-1 record.

Additional prelim bouts include Jonathan Piersma against Omar El Dafrawy at a 175-pound catchweight, Sean Gauci facing Allan Begosso at bantamweight, and a light heavyweight collision between unbeaten prospects Moustapha Diakhate and Zacharia Nishimwe. The card also features undefeated light heavyweight Khabib Nabiev against Jamelle Jones, women's flyweight Montana De La Rosa against Tatiana Postarnakova, and lightweights Chamy Delva versus Levan Khabalaev.
