Mikaela Mayer and Chantelle Cameron are set to clash in a 10-round junior middleweight title unification bout at MVPW-06 on Aug. 29, ESPN reports.

The American-British matchup will anchor a main card built around stateside versus U.K. fights. Both women hold world titles at 154 pounds, setting up a winner-take-all scenario in late August.

What the Mayer-Cameron unifier means for the division

Mayer has been pushing for top-level competition since moving up from lightweight, where she held a title for two years. Cameron, a former undisputed champion at junior welterweight, brings a reputation for aggressive pressure and high output.

The fight marks the sixth event in the MVPW promotional series. Undercard details have not been announced, but the U.S.-U.K. theme suggests multiple bouts featuring fighters from both countries.

First bell for MVPW-06 is scheduled for Aug. 29. No venue has been confirmed.
