Max Holloway explains why winning isn't enough at UFC 329
Max Holloway wants to do more than just beat Conor McGregor at UFC 329.
The former featherweight and BMF champion told reporters he plans to deliver a performance that reminds everyone why he remains one of mixed martial arts' premier attractions, per Sherdog. Holloway and McGregor square off Saturday, July 11 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas — a rematch 13 years after the Irishman beat him in their first meeting.

"All you have to do is win in this sport and win excitingly," Holloway said. "I'm going out there… I'm going to put on a show. We are in the entertainment business… We are prize-fighters."
Holloway said a statement win over McGregor could position him for fights with the lightweight and welterweight champions. He pointed out that everyone expects McGregor to challenge the 170-pound titleholder if he wins, but Holloway has his own claim to both divisions.
The Hawaiian said he's chasing records that will stand long after his career ends. "I want to make it more," he said. "Unreachable, you know, so the next generation come in, and they see those goals, and they try to break it. It's all about pushing the next generation."
UFC 329 streams Saturday night from Las Vegas.
