Max Holloway buys custom Dodge Charger ahead of UFC 329
Max Holloway has already spent part of his UFC 329 payday.
The former featherweight and BMF champion bought a custom Dodge Charger delivered to his house one week before his main event rematch with Conor McGregor, MMA Mania reported. Holloway posted video of the delivery on social media. "Holy shit. Kind of a big deal. I thought someone was just gonna be driving it," he said in the clip.
McGregor rematch brings biggest payday of Holloway's career
The July 12 bout will be the most lucrative of Holloway's career, even without pay-per-view points, according to the report. Holloway and McGregor first met in 2013, but McGregor's five-year layoff and return to the octagon has raised the stakes considerably. The Hawaiian owns one of the sport's most memorable finishes when he stopped Justin Gaethje at UFC 300.
Holloway told reporters this week that he expects McGregor to show up in fight-night condition. "Just please show up Saturday night," Holloway said, per MMA Mania.
UFC 329 takes place July 12 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Weigh-ins are set for Friday morning.
