Jake Woodley scores four-second knockout at LFA 235
Middleweight prospect Jake Woodley needed four seconds to finish David Wright at LFA 235 on Friday night, landing a looping overhand right that left his opponent unconscious at Freedom Hall in Louisville, Kentucky.
Woodley, who carried a 7-1 record and two knockout wins into the bout, connected flush with the right hand almost immediately after the opening bell. Wright crumpled instantly. Woodley took him down off the punch, but Wright was already out cold, MMA Mania reported.
One of the fastest finishes in regional MMA history
The finish ranks among the quickest knockouts ever recorded inside a cage. Legacy Fighting Alliance promoted the card as its first event in nearly a month, and the co-main event delivered a highlight that overshadowed the week's buzz around the UFC White House event.
Wright had entered the bout hoping to score the biggest win of his young career. Instead, Woodley's one-punch power — previously unproven at this level — turned the fight into an instant viral moment.
LFA 235 marked the promotion's return after a brief layoff, with the Louisville card featuring mostly unknown fighters chasing breakout performances.
