Jake Paul Aids USA Boxing For Paris Olympics; Woodley Eyes MMA Match With Paul
Jake Paul has teamed up with the American boxing Olympic team to help them get ready for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
The games will take place in August. The ‘Problem Child’ will train with the athletes hoping to make a name for themselves. The venture will allow Paul to highlight the next generation of talent. He could then acquire some for his MVP Promotions should they turn professional.
The ‘Problem Child’ will mentor the athletes and start the training in Colorado as he documents the whole process on his social media. Paul has shown a tendency to help the next generation of fighters, giving Amanda Serrano and Shadasia Green massive platforms by signing them. Both have fought on his card in major PPV-selling events.
Paul On The Olympics
"Im honored to partner with USA Boxing as the 2024 Paris Olympics approach. I’ll be training with the Olympic squad in Colorado Springs this winter and accompanying them to Paris this July to amplify our country’s best amateur boxers. My commitment to boxing is much more than my in ring accomplishments.
"I am determined to make my impact outside the ring bigger than anything I do within it. I believe the United States has the best boxers. Let’s put it to the test. Anyone who works hard enough to fight for their country in the most iconic contest has my support. Team USA let’s go!!! See y’all in Paris," Paul said
Paul’s boxing career is in a good place. He is coming off his first win against a professional boxer after he knocked out Andre August with an uppercut in the first round. The success justified Paul’s decision to face a less well-known name so he could move up the ranks against pro fighters.
That got the attention of Tyron Woodley. Paul has faced Woodley twice in a boxing match and has come out victorious. Woodley is desperate to run things back, but in MMA, since Paul has expressed his intention to debut in the sport under the PFL banner. Nate Diaz was offered $10 million to make that happen. So far, Diaz has not taken up the deal. That has left Woodley in the picture, as he called for the trilogy bout in MMA.
Paul On Woodley
"All this talk about him fighting [Nate] in MMA, I think if you’re going to fight anybody in MMA, you fight me in MMA. I’m the one that did the numbers with you, I’m the one that had the crazy millions and millions of views on the press conference.
"I’m the one who was a five-time champion, and I’m the one who took the fight on two weeks’ notice. I was doing Cobra Kai for 14 hours, and I trained at 3:00 A.M. I saved that card, that card was not going to happen. People would not have been buying Christmas gifts, had I not stepped up to the plate,” Woodley stated
