Fury questions Joshua's chin after Dubois demolishes Wardley
Tyson Fury has questioned Anthony Joshua's ability to absorb punishment after Daniel Dubois stopped Fabio Wardley to retain the WBO heavyweight title Saturday night in Manchester.
Dubois battered Wardley through 11 rounds of sustained violence before the referee waved it off with the challenger still upright, a performance that drew praise across the sport but prompted Fury to note a curious pattern in the champion's knockout record.
Dubois never floored Miller, Hrgovic, Usyk or Wardley
"Dubois fought Big Baby Miller, stopped him but never put him down," Fury said in a social media post, per Sky Sports. "Then he fought Hrgovic, stopped him but never put him down. He fought Wardley last night, in an unbelievable fight, stopped him but never put him down. He hit Usyk with some big bombs, never put him over." Fury then delivered his point. "Yet he fights Anthony Joshua and pummels him, puts him to the floor four times. I'm not saying Anthony Joshua's chinless but there are the facts. Take it as you wish and as you will. Everybody else never went over, not a singular person... but Joshua goes down four times. Chinny."
Fury and Joshua are reportedly set to meet in November, though no date or venue has been confirmed. The former two-time champion may take a tuneup beforehand.
In a separate Instagram post, Fury promised fight news soon, saying he had "unbelievable, exciting news coming" about being back in the ring.
