Fighter kicked out of ring returns to score knockout at BKB England

A bare-knuckle fighter who kicked his opponent out of the ring on Saturday paid for it with a brutal knockout loss seconds later.

James Springer and Arnado Vargas were trading punches at a BKB event in England when Springer shoved Vargas to the canvas and then booted him through the ropes, MMA Fighting reports. The referee let the fight continue despite the foul. Vargas climbed back in and danced briefly before resuming the action.

Knockout came moments after ring ejection

A minute later Vargas landed a heavy right hand that dropped Springer flat. The ref waved off the fight immediately with Springer unconscious on the mat.

Springer left the ring on wobbly legs while Vargas celebrated the finish. No word yet on whether BKB officials will review Springer's conduct or what his medical status is following the knockout.
